1,777,539 People Live in Las Vegas

The 2006 United States Census Bureau estimates show the population for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area at 1,777,539 people. We are one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. In the year 2000, Las Vegas was ranked as the 32nd largest city in the United States. 2006 estimates show that we have surpassed the cities of Nashville, Portland, Oklahoma City, and Tucson to put us in 28th place.
