Photo ID Now Required for Wedding License
A
new state law that took effect on January 1st requires couples to present
photo identification and proof of age to get a marriage license.
"With Valentine's Day fast approaching, we want to make sure that all of our prospective happy couples remember to bring proper identification," county clerk Shirley Parraguirre said. "Getting married can be a hectic process, so please remember to bring your driver's license or passport and we will be able to take care of you quickly."
Acceptable forms of identification include a driver's license, passport, birth certificate with a secondary form of identification that contains your name and photograph, military identification and identification issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service.
